An Island To Die For
There is an island the size of Manhattan called the North Sentinel Island. Its inhabitants are an indigenous tribe that have had limited contact with the outside world for the past 60,000 years. Any outsiders that try to contact or visit the island have been killed or attacked by these tribesmen. The island which is located in the Indian Ocean is so dangerous that India’s government has established a three mile execution zone to avoid any further conflict.
The Sentinelese are among the last people to remain virtually untouched by modern civilization, they prefer their way of living and the fact that they have no contact with the outside world. Because of these facts, the population of the Sentinelese is unknown, but is estimated to be from 50 to around 500 people.
There have been incidents of actual killing by the Sentinelese people. Two fisherman whose boat drifted onto the island were killed by the violent tribesmen of the North Sentinel island.
Internet pranksters have even posted fake reviews of the island listing it as a hot spots to visit. It was polled as 4.1 out of 5, though the people that have gone since have probably had a vastly different experience. Here are some of the fake reviews posted
